Welcome. A moment-to-moment story...

A new petition arises...

Another group is collecting signatures for a new petition to help limit air pollution and help save the trees!   If you happen to be going by Market Basket in Salem, stop by to check it out.

Here is a link to the incinerator issue, which is near Spring Pond Woods, on the other side of Highland Ave., near Market Basket, a school, residential homes and other businesses in Salem.  http://www.stopthegarbagenow.com/Home.php

  1. Its interesting to see Salem failing environmentally, stirring up opposition among many groups. The mayor has an extensive background in city planning and development (corporate development). While there is no surprise the controversy is storming, questions remain:

With Salem's mayor having extensive experience in city planning,
how could the latest Government (Mass GIS) data of been not included when the city of Salem revised their zoning last year?

The data from the government created stricter restrictions and more areas of needed protection.

When will this stricter data be entered into the 'revised' Salem Zoning?
