Welcome. A moment-to-moment story...

How's My Driving?

I know mine is terrible.  I stopped at this intersection of Eastern Ave onto Rt-107, to take this photo of a truck stopped in traffic blocking Stanwood St.  Looking ahead is the light intersecting Maple St., where the Development group was asked to study traffic flow up to.  Truth is, one has to be a good driver (and good walker) to cross Eastern/ Western Ave.  It gets busy.

This is the same intersection, different day, different direction looking north towards Salem.  The street on right is Eastern Ave (where I drove out of to take photo above).  Never mind the traffic, this intersection gets complicated to cross.  Accidents happen.  Please be careful crossing through here.

Might as well keep driving and check out the traffic ahead.  Can you imagine this doubling?  I can't.  Cars are coming out of Eastern Ave on right side, Cars on left in other lane trying to turn into Eastern.  There is a delay moving north towards Salem.

This is the light on Fay's Ave the Development suggests to replace to help traffic flow through.  To go where? - See intersection of Eastern Ave above.

Instead of making the light work faster, has anyone thought about slowing the cars down that typically come flying down the hill after Highland Ave... a highway ends, to reduce speed before entering residential neighborhoods?  Lynn has tried by merging lanes.  Who's responsibility is this... Salem's or Lynn's?  Who has the highway? (Salem)  How's my argument?  (bad too?)

  1. There should have been a light at the Eastern Av. intersection for years but there isn't. Only one of Lynn's nightmare intersections and all the streets heading into Salem are dangerous, I have a friend who lives on Manning and getting into and out of that street is impossible at times. Also people in the know drive down Manning like it is the Indy 500, because it is a back way to Eastern Av. Double all this traffic and triple the accidents and crossing 107 is stupid no matter where you are in Lynn, even at a light. And out of curiosity, it's rte 107, doesn't that put it under state supervision ???
