This is the first year different people have mentioned they've seen deer near the Salem/ Lynn line, which is a rare and unusual siting. I wonder if it is because of the blasting and cutting of trees near the Marlborough Road side?
A graceful deer crossed our path while hiking through the woods behind the Camp near Spring Pond, and then dashed into the trails heading toward the Camp. At best we have photos of its footprints left in the rich soil. It's making sense why this land was arable in colonial times.
I wonder where the wildlife will go if these woods are developed one day.
