Welcome. A moment-to-moment story...

a Common Cause, Activist groups joined together at Walmart

On Friday, June 4th, Walmart Activists gathered together with Spring Pond Advocates at Walmart in Salem for a peace rally, at the same time Walmart held its first annual share holders meeting.  Walmart activists asked shoppers to write to Walmart executives demanding Walmart prove that female associates have an equal opportunity at the company, while Spring Pond voices asked Walmart shoppers to sign the petition to stop the developments where a Super Wal-mart and Lowe's wants to tear down pristine woods by Spring Pond.

It was fascinating to see how quickly Walmart shoppers wanted to sign the petition to save the woods and protect women's rights without much talk.  It was nice to see Walmart management not give this peaceful rally trouble.

There were many 'Conserve the Woods of Spring Pond' posters too.  People were standing everywhere.   Both activist groups believed in both causes.

At Walmart's annual shareholder's meeting, investors made decisions about the company on this day and spent huge sums of money to bring in celebrities and rock stars at some of their locations.  But all the glamour can't hide how Walmart has treated women unfairly and how they want to take these pristine woods away.

To help give women equal rights at Walmart  sign the petition here.

Peace. And thank you to our friends!
