Camp Lion in Salem, MA saved by Volunteers... and the Economy
www.savecamps.org/?p=329
In SaveCamps.org own words:
"SaveCamps.org has written before about the possibility of protecting this camp through a conservation easement. I hope the dropped plans for the Lowe’s store will make the board members of Camp Lion more agreeable to exploring this option. For now Camp Lion is saved and it would seem we have the economy and a lot of dedicated volunteers to thank. Thanks and good luck with your continued efforts in Salem."
Unfortunately, it is not saved. The greedy, money-hungry, immoral people are still misguided and hope to develop this land that should not be developed.
ReplyDeleteDespite what Driscoll thinks, we all know the project was stopped by the difficulties the developer faced from the opposition. There will NOT be another party interested in this site for a very very long time. The Lions better understand this. There is no hiding the truth this time.

ReplyDeleteA very constructive comment--hope it didn't hurt too much putting so much thought into it.
how much do they want for the site?
ReplyDeleteThat's all they do. Eat, drink, blah
ReplyDeleteMr Ed has ignored all the facts.
ReplyDeleteThe opposition didn't have anything to do with Lowes backing out. The judge through it all out. The advocates don't have a chance of stopping anything. Something will be built on that land. You can mark my words.
Who's they?
Maybe a CASINO!
ReplyDeleteAfter all Katerina has made the claim that it was Indian land.
THE CAMP LIONS TRIBE!
lmao
There is no reason to argue. Why not work together as a team for the good of all?
ReplyDeleteThere are 7 billion humans on the earth. Can't you bear to save some acreage for other living creatures?
ReplyDeleteSave this campground for the 1000 children, or the animals! Please!
