From Marie C.,
ReplyDeleteIn regard to the Salem News Editorial--I see that your sense of justice has
not evolved since the 1692 Salem Witch Trials. Your editorial is so
one-dimensional you should be ashamed.
I find the Salem News Opinion editorial to be a bit backwards. First the facts should be written in a news article without bias, then print opinions. How will the public make a fair measurement of the truth without the facts first?
ReplyDeleteExpanding Walmart & a new Lowe's will elbow out the local businesses left and replace them with low-wage jobs. Those that think these 2 companies will create new jobs is delusional.
ReplyDeleteK,
ReplyDeleteYour opinion of the Salem paper is the same opinion I and many others have of you
Anon,
ReplyDeletePay attention, while you are here. There is nothing more than facts from newsarticles, documents, data, photos, and videos of observations. Let us know, when a fact is not to your likening. Have a nice visit! And thank you.
Anon, what's your take on the siteus Is there just large growing weeds everywhere?.... Do you know the difference between a tree and a weed? Weeds are like big corporations. They chock native stores from existence!
ReplyDeleteC,
ReplyDeleteA brilliant analogy!
Looking at this area from the highway, one might think that there are only weeds here. But, just beyond, there is a huge variety of wonderful and thriving plant species. What grows on the side of a busy, disruptive highway are species that can thrive in a a non-nutrient rich environment that are also doused with chemicals and salt in the winter.
Right now, there are barely any invasive species on the land that they want to develop--it's contained and there is a buffer from other developments--it has stayed that way for decades; but once there is development--corporate or other wise--there is disturbance and then weed species are introduced and the wonderful variety of plant species will be wiped out. And Anon 10/6/11 9:56am--that is the truth!
