Welcome. A moment-to-moment story...

Occupy

In light of the Occupy Together movement, our actions here in fighting off corporations from destroying Spring Pond Woods has had its own battle for a year and a half now.  The battle was encouraged by the voices of hundreds.  Thank you for signing the petitions, and sending letters to local and state officials.  The battle to protect this pristine forest, wetlands and campground is not over.

Here is a brilliant video, posted once again, made by a few Salemites on Driscoll's Corporate Priorities for Salem, in building over dedicated green Open Space.  Lowe's has withdrawn from building here since this video was made, but the threat of development still continues.

    TOO BIG HAS FAILED

  8. How do we get everyone in Salem, Lynn and Peabody to watch this important short film? Since the text amendment is still in effect, and the Woods are not under any protection --the land will continue to be threatened. Too big has not failed yet, only slowed down--too big can still creep along, that is how so much development happened on the 107 corridor in the last 20 years.

  9. The Text Ammendment is very accurate, and Salem's mayor has proven herself in the past to be anti non-profit. she doesn't care about Camp Lion or Camp Fire, and never will. She's endulged a non-profit would bow to her feet.

  14. God works in mysterious ways! So fun to watch CEO Kim Driscoll not have the controll to build her vision of paradise at others' expense. Finally, this kind of oppression and brutality, in the name of "FREEDOM" is losing it's steam..........!
