Mayors to Meet over Big Box differences
Daily Item, September 18, 2010
It would be interesting to know if Salem Mayor Driscoll has the courage to tell the MAPC that officials who care about their constituents homes and/or the environment are being "selfish", as said in the Salem News.
I believe, there can be nothing more American and selfless than this. |
Who will meet with the Spring Pond Advocates to mitigate environmental and historical concerns? And what about Peabody officials?

I was looking at the Walmart wages and they are above average for most unskilled jobs. Working at walmart is a low end low intelligence job therefore does not pay a lot nor should it. A large percentage of the population is not that bright and is happy with a job at walmart. Not everyone is destined for greatness nor do they need to make a large salary to live. You can live very nicely in many parts of the country on minimum wage. So we should embrace these jobs and welcome them in this horrid economy!
ReplyDeleteYou consider minimum wage above average? What country are you writing from?
ReplyDeleteYou can either support low paying unskilled jobs,
or existing businesses that offer training, where people can afford a living and not rely on government extras.
Walmart is known to be a factor in shrinking the economy in this country.
The store should not get any bigger.
you said "you can live very nicely in parts of the country on minimum wage" ---- - Not hear.
Since Mayor Kim will listen to none of her constituants, because this project is important to her only
ReplyDeleteSalemites try contacting Mayor Kennedy of Lynn!
no loud commercial development with their loud trucks and pick ups should be allowed on the hills around spring pond
ReplyDeletethere goes the peace and quiet of the area.
Driscoll - I AM being a good neighbor by providing jobs. Besides "its important to me".
ReplyDeleteKennedy - "Shelve it". My people said keep your low income jobs... they rather have their neighborhoods trouble free.
Driscoll - Your "selfish"
Kennedy - Take your plan and "scrap it".
Driscoll - I'll trade you a pet shelter I never cared for, for GE's empty lot.
Kennedy - Take your own open space plan, stuff it into a little pill and swallow
Driscoll - chokes
