If anyone has information on who the members of Camp Lion are,
their interests and business and how come
there is actually NO CAMP LION for children
please
I'm wondering if they have listened to the concerns of the people?
Here are some signs created by a friend....
someone should create a sign with all the board members heads on it & driscolls.

MURDERERS OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Camp Lions seems like a coockoo farm
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Best Buy
ReplyDeleteYou sad people really are not joking. Its border line creepy how involved you are in this. I now see how these environmentalist nutsos such as yourselves cross the line into criminal activity and justify it.
ReplyDeleteYou now have resorted to dirty tactics worse than the politicians, developers and stores you mock daily. (and a camp--)
The parents and kids are sad its closing but they move on. There are 101 options for camp on the north shore.
What are the 101 options?
ReplyDeleteWhere will there be a better camp ground than this?
the camp fire will NOT BE CLOSING
ReplyDeleteI don't get it. what's so criminal about the truth?
ReplyDeletegee the Y, JCC, the FREE community camps for the "underserved" communities in all local towns, local art centers
ReplyDeleteThe local YMCAS alone run well over 20 camp options! they even let the "underserved" go for free
the camp does not look fit for a doggie daycare, it needs a major overhaul! plus it's right off highland ave so busy...area is better served for box stores ---
ReplyDeleteThe fish in that post card should be glowing. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteIts not funny. I know. Just lunatic!

ReplyDeleteThose are still not real camp grounds like this one in the woods.
So lets plow commercial development further into the woods and put a 'camp pad' behind its walls.
Right now the camp is set back away from trouble. I don't think inviting crime, traffic noise and trouble into these woods and then put a 'camp pad' behind it is a very bright idea.
We already hear traffic noise now half way through the camp.
Once the woods get plowed... say good-bye to peace and quiet at Spring Pond.
Why do you want to know who these people are?

ReplyDeleteSeriously how is this inviting crime. There is already a Walmart there? And the only crimes that happen at Walmart would be shoplifters?
Yeah there are real camps like this all over the North Shore. Check them out. Salem YMCA, Marblehead YMCA, JCC etc etc. There is one where they sent the kids to an island in Salem.
They take the kids to the woods.
Kids don't roam the woods anyhow!
The current camp is a dump where it currently is located in its current woods state. Any improvement would be good! Its falling down!
How can Camp Lions think they can just get away with this?
ReplyDeleteAnon 8:20,
ReplyDeleteCurrently cliffs surround Walmart.
Once you put a Lowe's up on the hill with quick access to the woods and camp ground, there goes safety.
There will not be another camp in a nice setting like this. The camp is not falling down. It is made of cmu block. (LOL). Camp Fire has been here for a long time and the public has enjoyed the trails on the weekend.
Why do you not mention there are already shops around. Home Depot and One Way Lumber is down the street. We don't need more commercial stores to loose open space. We don't have extra shoppers in this world.
Placing commercial development on the hills surround Spring Pond is a huge mistake. This will hurt the entire area by noise alone.
Why don't you help Lowe's find another site.
These developers study areas for years so they have done research on where a site will work.
ReplyDeleteI still do not understand how it will add to crime. It makes no sense at all. Look at the statement.
People shop at both Lowes and Home Depot vs the same way you shop Target and Walmart. Different flavas for a different day.
Yeah I'm sure they've studied where to get the most $$$
