This image of a hawk resting on a sign at the corner of Buchanan Circle and Western Ave, near the Lynn/ Salem line, was submitted today by someone driving by. This must be a 'sign' of some sort where it landed. Truly home prices will be reduced in this area, and where will the wildlife go?
It's called PHOTO SHOP
ReplyDeleteI thought that too when I first took a glance and thought it would make a great marketing poster. But looking closely at it, it appears to be real.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with Crowley ?
ReplyDeleteWhich one? You might get a better answer if you ask them.
ReplyDeleteFill me in on both of them if you can.
ReplyDeleteBut Paul was the one I was asking about
I'm not sure what I can share.
ReplyDeleteWhat I can say is that from reading the newspapers it appears Sean is for the deal. As I heard- Paul resigned from Camp Lion after the group decided to continue with the deal. I'm glad he had a change in heart.
is the boycott of the sportscenter still in effect?
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty nice and they seem to be decent people.
ReplyDeleteMany are talking about boycotting every business owned by each member.
ReplyDeleteIf it comes to that, it will be posted here. I pray it will not have to come to that.
Paul Crowley does seem decent.
I didn't get to the meeting, i work 2nd shift.
ReplyDeletewas there a good turn out? Is there still a chance to stop this mess?
It is possible. Many of these projects have been stopped in other towns. The state DEP is involved which oversees local boards, and can take the ball in their court if the decision is made one way or another (from what I understand after reading the EENF).
ReplyDeleteIf all local and state agencies fail the cause, then most likely there will legal action after this. The Lynn Planning Board will have a right to be involved after the Salem Planning Board's decision.
It could be a good number of years in legal battle, and boycotting? I've never experienced this type of war before, so I know as much as you.
yes- there was a great turnout
ReplyDeleteSo I can assume here was a good crowd at the presentation?
ReplyDeleteYou Know a lot more about this than I.
Thanks and good luck!
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke -property taxes increase. Properties cannot get any lower than they are. And if they decrease it will be a small amount. The houses in that area are not high value.
ReplyDeleteDTL has a right to complain about property values. Condo just went for 1/3 of what it sold for a few years ago. 45k now thats a drop in value!
Spare us.
Property values will sink near this location. It is undeniable.
ReplyDeleteIts basic understanding. When buying a house would you rather by next to a nice wooded area or a super shopping center? Prices will reflect
You fool they are near a Walmart already on Highland Ave!
ReplyDeleteYou know that big long wooded hill that is a buffer between the homes and Walmart? It is going to get blasted to have a Lowe's sit on top.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Creature. isn't it?
ReplyDeleteActually shopping is a sell for lots of people when they buy a place. To each is own. You guys are grasping at straws now.
