Wetlands: Little ponds and marshes

This little pond is behind Walmart, where wetlands connect, where Walmart... 'maybe/maybe not'- a rep said... proposes to build a retention pond on these waterways (Surface Water Protection areas) at the rear of the property.

This little marsh is to the left of the road, climbing up to Camp Lion's grounds from Highland Ave. A future road is proposed to carve near/on this.  Lowe's (as said from the last Salem Public meeting) proposes to use the wetlands to drain the parking lot... wetlands, which are designated as Potential Vernal Pools

...wetlands that stream to Spring Pond.  The slopes of this land are too complex for a large development. Please take a close look at the topography of the contours on the maps sloping down to wetlands of Potential Vernal Pools, which then slope down to Spring Pond.
