Public Meeting to identify Priority Sites for Conservation and Development in Salem

Monday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m.
Salem City Hall Annex, 120 Washington St., 3rd floor Meeting Room

The City of Salem and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) will hold a public meeting to identify priority sites for housing, economic development, and open space preservation. Salem is one of six North Shore communities collaborating on a regional project to address elements of MAPC’s recently-approved regional plan, “MetroFuture: Making a Greater Boston Region.” MAPC will seek comments on a draft map of priority conservation and development sites. Following public meetings in all six communities, there will be two regional follow-up meetings where MAPC will present its summary findings and seek further public comment.
