Welcome. A moment-to-moment story...

Update

It may seem quiet lately (maybe not), but it has been quite busy with research and things.

                                                          ~ The Lorax
  • The region of Spring Pond has been recently submitted as a nomination into two historic programs. (saying prayers)
  • Four other nominations (with more to come) have been prepared to submit into historic programs.
  • Someone from The National Park Service has given great advice to follow.  There's a list of things to do, and we will be attending a very important meeting soon.  (Thank You!)
  • A few historians from Salem and Lynn have been encouraging to continue the pursuit of historic advocacy, and have given great advice.   (Thank You!)
  • Two unions now support our cause.  (Thank You!)
  • Photos of the last walking tour were submitted by different people.  We will post soon.  (Thanks to all who attended!)
  • Research of the Richard's (historic landowners), was submitted by Tom Osborn.  (Thank You!)  -will post soon.
  • We must file every rare and unusual tree found with conservation.
  • Need to create maps of the unique trees found and begin showing off the ready-made arboretum in New England!
  • Need to help Leslie Courtemanche re-publish her two books about Spring Pond soon.  Scans of her old books were made and are being formatted for new publication.
  • Lawyer's and conservationists are sharing their advice.  (Thank You!)
  • Different people are getting pro-active, calling companies and writing letters. (Thank You!)
  • The Salem News, Salem Gazette and Daily Item have been fair in printing people's letters...  (Thank You!)
Thank you to everyone who has contributed in their own way!  Apologies if anything is forgotten... send us a note.

The next Salem Public Meeting, open to all members of the 'Public' is on Thur., Sept. 16, 7pm at 120 Washington Street, Salem, 3rd Floor.   Please come even if you just want to listen.

Peace
