Across Highland Ave (Rt-107) from Spring Pond Woods, is another cause fighting to protect the air quality from being potentially harmed in the community.
The old Salem Transfer Station is planned for expansion, changing the type of trash collected- from dry material to smelly solid waste. Hundreds of garbage trucks will be increased on the roadways, traveling up and down Highland Ave in Salem, and Western Ave in Lynn.

They are looking for assistance to help all area residents and business owners, who are in litigation efforts against the 400 ton/day Salem Transfer Station expansion, near the intersection of Swampscott Rd and Highland Avenue in Salem.
