Walking through the snow
Much snow is covering the ground in Spring Pond Woods, and there are no cleared trails. Walkers with no snow-shoes are sinking to their knees in snow, without hitting ground. There are several animal trails throughout the woods. Where are these animals hiding?

Here, these creatures are using their instinctual and evolutionary skills to remain alive in the cold, brutal winter. While I am warm and well-fed at home, maybe unable to go out for a few days during one of the raging storms--they remain outside...surviving through the raging storms. Some dug into the mud in the fall to overwinter in a suspended state, others are hiding out in dens or burrows, some birds will form bands and seek out shelter and food together. They are surviving the natural elements and I don't think it's an easy thing to do. I respect them for that and that's why I fight so hard to keep the blasting and bulldozing away. Unfortunately, they are powerless to that destruction.
